The Michael Collins Evening is a slide show and talk which explores the life of Michael Collins from his early days in West Cork, through the War of Independence and his death at Beal na Bláth. This presentation takes place in the traditional setting of the Cottage/Theatre at the Heritage Park. 

In 2002 The Michael Collins Evening will take place every Thursday Evening at 7.45pm from Mid June to Mid September

The "Michael Collins" Tour was first introduced in 1997 and is conducted by an experienced guide in the visitors own car or Tour Coach. The Tour begins at the Heritage Park and visits the following places associated with Michael Collins, Clonakilty, Sams Cross, Woodfield, Roscarbery, Enniskeane, Beal na Bláth and Newcestown. Local history is also highlighted along the way.

Arigideen Valley Heritage Park is designed to interpret the history traditions and folklore of West Cork. The Park enjoys wonderful views of the Arigideen River Valley , the Dunmanway Hills and Kerry Mountains. The Cottage Theatre - is a traditional style white washed cottage which accommodates drama, exhibitions, slide/video shows, bastable baking and other cultural presentations. A hillside Archaeology Trail-takes the form of ten full size replicas of Historical Monuments commonly found is West Cork including standing stones, a stone circle and an old church with cemetery.

Mid June to Mid September, opened Monday to Saturday 10.30 a.m to 5.00 p.m.  Open Sunday only by appointment

Guided tours last 45 minutes approx In between tours, visitors can enjoy the old farm machinery, the display of artifacts and photographs in the Heritage Cottage, the video presentation and the fabulous view.

Groups and off season visits are welcome by appointment.
