MICHAEL COLLINS EXPERIENCE

The Michael Collins experience offers two opportunities,

(a) The " Michael Collins" Tour: Starts at Emmet Square in Clonakilty and visits the following places. Sams Cross, Woodfield, Enniskeane, Beal Na Blath, Newcestown and Clonakilty. This tour includes the West Cork sites connected with Michael Collins as well as highlighting local history along the way. Tim Crowley has been conducting these tours since 1997 and is available to act as a private guide in the visitors own car or tour coach. (early booking is essential)

(b) The "Michael Collins" evening. This slide show and talk explores the life of Michael Collins from his early days in West Cork through the War of Independence and his death at Béal na Bláth. This presentation has been delivered to historical groups, in schools and was part of the lecture programme associated with the Michael Collins/ Kitty Kiernan letters exhibition at the West Cork Arts Centre Skibbereen in November 1997.

The Michael Collins evening will take place every Thursday Evenings at 7.45 pm  from Mid June to Mid September in the Heritage Park Theatre.

 Group bookings are also welcome at other times.
